SECURITY DEPOSIT

In the event of a cancellation, notice must be given prior to 30 days before the event. If the rental fee is $200 or more, a 60 day notice is required. If notice of a cancellation is not received within the required time of the event, only one-half of the deposit will be refunded. In addition to reserving your date, the deposit is held for cleaning/damage fees if necessary. Otherwise it is refundable.  It is NOT part of the rental rate.

CLEANING RULES

  • Events over 200 people will require mandatory bathroom attendants at your cost/arrangement to ensure supplies are stocked at all times, prevent overflowing trash, and clean up excess messes to continue positive usage during the event. Failure to do so will automatically forfeit cleaning deposit. Optional $1500 fee- we will provide staff & must be paid prior to event.

  • All cleaning supplies for use at the D & N are kept in the storage room. They must be returned to that location.

  • Renters must make sure all tables and chairs are wiped clean and put away where they belong.

  • Remove any decorations or tape from the ceiling, walls, furniture, floor and etc.

  • Sweep & mop the floor in the bathrooms. 

  • Wipe out all sinks and clean any trash from the urinals.

  • Clean kitchen counters and sinks. 

  • Wipe spills from walls and front of cupboards.

  • Wipe out refrigerators and microwave and clean any other appliances or dishes.

  • Sweep or dust mop ALL floors followed by mopping.

  • Dump all trash. Put all trash in city dumpsters and return dumpsters to the south side of the building. Large events you must request additional dumpsters through the city.

  • Sweep birdseed, rice, cigarettes and etc. from the sidewalk and pick up all trash around the building.

  • If it is winter, reset the thermostat to 40° and turn off thermostat in the meeting room. If it is summer, turn off the air conditioning. Turn off all lights.

  • Notify Tad Haneborg at 520-5454 or Charlie Weaver at 539-7080 of any problems before leaving the building and grounds.

renting means respecting our facility and reputation. complaints regarding facility cleanliness will be directed back to you & possible forfeit of future event reservations.

All of these rules apply to the D & N Event Center and must be followed. Renter may lose partial to all of their deposit if the rules or terms of the contract are not followed.
